Our expertise transcends compliance. Our collaboration builds communities.

Compliance and collaboration are not mutually exclusive. A strong compliance program is the result of proactive and deliberate engagement. From subcontractor outreach and community hiring fairs to training teams on the regulatory process and interfacing with lenders and subcontractors to ensure compliance is met—we engage in a thoughtful and collaborative way.

How We Work

Tandem partners with developers and general contractors in a visible and active way, to assist in navigating the construction process in a manner that streamlines community, regulatory, and political requirements. We foster collaborative interactions with elected officials, community stakeholders, and government agencies to ensure their requirements and expectations are built into the framework of the project plan. From there, we work closely with the development team to design an actionable plan that integrates the requirements and reasonable expectations of all project stakeholders.

About Ta Juana

As Founder and President of Tandem Ventures, Ms. Tang is relentless in her pursuit to fuse industry expertise with client and community expectations to create dynamic outcomes and measurable impact.

For more than two decades Ms. Tang has vigorously managed and enforced regulatory programs. Ms. Tang’s success lies in her extensive knowledge of intergovernmental procedures and expertly navigating the intricacies of the policies that enforce them. She is a consummate champion of workforce diversity and workforce development, and a tireless proponent for the utilization of disadvantaged minority businesses and maximizing inclusivity in the trades.

Ms. Tang’s love of the industry was inspired by her grandfather, a veteran union iron worker. She pays that forward as an active leader in numerous civic and professional organizations, including Professional Women in Construction Chicago chapter, where she is a founding Board member and co-chair of PWC’s DEI committee; and Board member for One On One, a workforce development organization, where she serves on the fundraising and real estate committees.
