Affordable Housing Renovations and Upgrades for Residents of East Park Apartments

Tandem Ventures worked with The Habitat Company and GMA Construction to provide compliance consulting on the renovation of the East Park Apartments, a 153-unit affordable apartment building in Chicago’s Garfield Park neighborhood. The project included demolishing existing units and installing upgrades to the electrical systems, boilers, bathrooms, doors, floors, and cabinets. GMA also completed exterior renovations to the masonry, parking lot and fencing.

GMA also worked to renovate the apartments’ community amenities, including the community room, on-site social services classroom, resident lounge, laundry facilities and front desk. The $8.2 million project was completed in August 2018.
