Artists Community Becomes New Gateway to Washington Park

Tandem Ventures worked with Brinshore and Imagine Development to provide compliance oversight and workforce development services on the construction of KLEO Art Residences, a mixed-income residential project in the Washington Park community in Chicago. The four-story new construction building has 58 apartment homes built above common area amenities that include a fitness center, community gathering space, and artists’ studios.

The building features a groundbreaking design that matches the aesthetic of the neighborhood with a façade that glows in the evening hours. It offers energy efficient HVAC systems, appliances, and lighting, and private gardens on the ground floor units. The building was constructed in partnership with KLEO Community Life Center, City of Chicago, and Imagine Group. The $23.4 million building was completed in 2019.
