Homes for Veterans Coming to North Lawndale

Tandem Ventures is working with GMA Construction, A Safe Haven Foundation, KMA Companies and the City of Chicago to provide regulatory compliance services for the construction of the Rauner Family Veteran Studios in the North Lawndale neighborhood of Chicago. The 90- unit apartment building is designated for veterans, with 75 units reserved for recipients of Veteran Affairs Supportive vouchers.

Each unit will be fully furnished and include central heat and air conditioning, full blinds and a range. Building amenities include bike racks, a community room, a computer center, and laundry facilities. A Safe Haven (ASH) will also have space on the first floor for on-site case management, job training and other veteran support.

Construction of the building has reached its fifth and final floor and is expected to be completed during the first quarter of 2022.
