Tandem Ventures has begun compliance consulting services for PIRHL Development and the Chicago Housing Authority on its 365,000 square foot expansion and redevelopment of two 11-story senior housing towers at 2640, 2700, and 2720 N. Sheffield Avenue in Chicago’s Lincoln Park neighborhood. The project is one of the largest affordable housing projects currently taking place in Chicago

The 1960s building will be renovated for both affordable senior housing and affordable family housing, with a newly constructed 120,000-SF center building serving as a bridge-link between the two towers that will add 12 new senior units and 80 family units, plus 2 amenity floors including a courtyard, reception area, activity room, outdoor porch, mail room, gym and party room.

The project was developed by a joint venture of Chicago Housing Authority, PIRHL Developers and Tandem Development, along with Leopardo and Ujamaa Construction. The development was designed by RATIO Architects and is slated for completion in 2024
